PURPOSE:
To advise the Board of Commissioners of the status of the FYI 995 CDBG Housing Rehabilitation
Program.
BACKGROUND:
One of the requirements of the County's plan for CDBG Program Administration for the FY1995
Housing Rehabilitation Program is the provision of quarterly status reports on expenditures and
accomplishments to the Board of Commissioners. In order to comply with this requirement, the
Housing and Community Development Department will submit these reports to the Board at the end
of each quarter until the project is completed.
This report covers the third quarter which ended June 30, 1996.
RECOMMENDATION(S):
The Manager recommends receiving the report as information.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Housing repairs were completed at one (1) house, with three
(3) other houses in . process during this quarter. Work
specifications are continuing to be prepared for the
remaining targeted homes.
The program continues to need qualified contractors to
repair deteriorated housing and staff is continuously trying
to encourage more participation in the program. The lack of
contractors has led to delays in beginning work when bids
must be solicited more than one time.
The Advisory Committee met on March 13, 1996 and continues
to meet once each quarter.
