BACKGROUND: On November 1, 1995, the BOCC approved a policy for impact fee reimbursement to local non-profit organizations meeting the established eligibility criteria. The County has received a reimbursement request from Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. Specifically, the agency is asking for $4, 500 in reimbursement for impact fees paid for three houses that are in process or completed. The houses are located at the following addresses: 1 . Lot 26, Gemena Road - Chestnut Oaks; Bingham Township (Family of seven (7) ; Annual Income $29, 000) 2 . Lot 32, Gemena Road - Chestnut Oaks; Cheeks Township (Family of two (2) ; Annual Income $15, 750) 3 . Lot 33, Gemena Road - Chestnut Oaks; Bingham Township (Family of five (5) ; Annual Income $14, 000) 4 . 401 Alpha Drive, Mebane; Cheeks Township (Family of three (3) ; Annual Income $13, 000) 5 . Creel St. , Chapel Hill; Chapel Hill Township (Family of three (3) ; Annual Income $21, 892) There is a line-item in the current year Community Development Program budget for these expenditures. The current balance is $9, 796 . 00 . 2 RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends approval of the impact fee reimbursement request from Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $4 , 500 .
