PURPOSE: To approve a resolution of appreciation for Keith Brooks,
recently retired Orange County Data Processing Manager.
BACKGROUND: Keith Brooks retired as Orange County Data Processing
Manager on March 31, 1996 . The attached resolution will recognize his
achievements and more than 19 years of faithful service to Orange
County.
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board adopt the
resolution.

A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR R. KEITH BROOKS
IN RECOGNITION OF HIS SERVICE
AS ORANGE COUNTY DATA PROCESSING MANAGER
WHEREAS, Keith Brooks served the citizens of Orange County faithfully
for more than 19 years; and
WHEREAS, he served with honor, creativity, and distinction as Orange
County' s Data Processing Manager since 1977; and
WHEREAS, he was primarily responsible for automating Orange County' s
programs and services, and thus dramatically enhanced the ability of
other County departments to provide Orange County citizens with timely,
responsive, and accurate service; and
WHEREAS, Keith Brooks retired from his duties as Orange County Data
Processing Manager as of March 31, 1996;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orange County Board of
Commissioners does hereby recognize Keith Brooks for his superb
leadership as Orange County Data Processing Manager and for his
distinguished service to Orange County for more than 19 years; and
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of Commissioners
expresses its appreciation to Keith Brooks for his hard work, vision,
and dedication in discharging his duties on behalf of Orange County
citizens, and offers its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes
for his retirement .
