PURPOSE: To approve renewal of contract between Durham Technical Community College
and Orange County, Department of Emergency Management, to provide administrative
support for fire training in Orange County.
BACKGROUND: Orange County has annually renewed the contract with Durham Technical
Community College, since 1991. Orange County Emergency Management receives funds for
administrative support in coordinating fire training, provided by Durham Tech. The contract
for $7,705.00 (seven thousand seven hundred five dollars) is to be renewed. The arrangement
is unanimously endorsed by the Orange County Chiefs' Council.
Operation under this contract has proven to be very beneficial in past years, by improving
access to needed training for Orange County volunteer fire-fighters.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The Manager recommends that the Board approve the contract
renewal and authorize the Chair to sign, subject to review by the County Attorney.

CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
ORANGE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT agrees to provide the following services to Durham
(Contractor)
Technical Community College on the indicated dates:
Starting July 1 . 1995 and ending June 30 , 1996 , Orange County
Management will provide administrative support for Fire and Fmergency
Services training classes conducted in ORange County under the
supervision of Durham Technical Community College .
Durham Technical Community College agrees to the following in return for the services rendered:
Upon completion of services and receipt of an invoice , Durham Tech will
pay Orange County Emergency Management $7705 - 00. Quarterly invoices
will be accepted.
