Dear Moses :
This is in response to your recent letter regarding the possibility
of County funding for the Hargraves Gymnasium and the interest of
the Board of Commissioners in influencing policy for recreation and
library services within the Town of Chapel Hill .
The Council discussed these issues informally at our work session
of May 6 with the Library Board of Trustees and the Parks and
Recreation Commission. The Council and both boards are very
pleased that the Commissioners would like to participate.
To follow up, I have asked the staff to prepare ordinance
amendments to accommodate a "county seat" on both the Parks and
Recreation Commission and the Library Board of Trustees . It is
possible that we would consider these as early as our May 29
regular Council meeting.
Thank you for considering our concerns . I look forward to hearing
from you further on this matter.
Sincerely,
) o S P?
Rosemary Waldorf
