A RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION FOR NAMING THE ORANGE COUNTY
SOUTHERN HUMAN SERVICES CENTER
WHEREAS, a recommendation has been received by Commissioner Alice Gordon that"Orange
County Southern Human Services Center' be the official name for the new county facility
located on Homestead'Road in Chapel Hill ; and
WHEREAS, this name identifies the functional purpose of this facility; and
WHEREAS, the County Manager concurs with this recommendation per County Policy Number
A:0390, Naming of County Owned Buildings and Facilities Policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Orange County Board of Commissioners hereby declare
the official name of the aforementioned facility be"Orange County Southern Human
Services Center" by this resolution adopted this 16th day of December, 1997.
