PURPOSE: To consider for approval the regular meeting schedule for the
Board of County Commissioners for calendar year 1998 .
BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318 . 12 of the General Statutes, a
schedule of regular meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board
of County Commissioners. The schedule must show the date, time and place
of each meeting. This schedule is being presented for discussion and
approval. The calendar reflects the information received from a survey
done by the County Clerk. Both meeting locations -- the "NEW" Southern
Human Services Center and the New Courthouse in Hillsborough -- should be
ready for cablecasting by April, 1998 . The date for the Commissioners'
retreat will need to be determined.
RECOMMENDATION: Discuss and approve the Board of County Commissioners
Meeting Calendar for 1998.
