PURPOSE: To consider a petition from NC DOT for approval of the addition of Silver Fox
Lane in Bingham Township to the State-maintained Secondary Road System.
BACKGROUND: The citizens that live along Silver Fox Lane have petitioned NC DOT to accept
the maintenance responsibilities for Silver Fox Lane. NC DOT has investigated
this request (see attached Secondary Road Addition Report) and has submitted a
petition for the addition of Silver Fox Lane in the Sable Run Subdivision to the
Board of Commissioners for review and approval.
The Board's decision will be forwarded to the N.C. Board of Transportation for
their deliberation on acceptance of the road to the State-maintained Secondary
Road System.
RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the addition of Silver Fox Lane in
Bingham Township to the State-maintained Secondary Road System.
