PURPOSE: To consider appointments to the Human Services Advisory Council and Schools &
Land Use Councils.
BACKGROUND: The attached memo lists applicants for the Human Services Advisory
Commission. Applications were included for the Board's review with a previous agenda packet.
The Board may wish to appoint its own representative(s)to the Schools & Land Use Councils to
work with the nominees from the other jurisdictions.
RECOMMENDATION(S): As the Board decides.

Orange County and Chapel Hill-Carrboro Land Use Councils
The members of the Human Services Advisory Commission have been recruiting during this last month and have had
great success in soliciting new applicants. An Orientation has been scheduled for the May 19th meeting for the two new
members plus the 7 listed below. If these citizens were appointed at the May 15th Commissioners Work Session the
Orientation could go on as planned. If you need another copy of the applications for the HSAC applicants, please contact
Kathy Baker.
