White was appointed as a charter member of the Orange County Historic Preservation Commission on May 21, 1991; and WHEREAS,Norma led the Historic Preservation Commission as its Chair and Vice Chair for three years ; and WHEREAS, she faithfully served her fellow citizens of Orange County on this volunteer commission which laid the foundation for the County's program of preserving.its historic and archaeological resources; and WHEREAS, her knowledge and experience in landscape architecture consistently guided the Historic Preservation Commission in their efforts; THEREFORE,the members of the Orange County Board of Commissioners do hereby thank Norma B. White, upon her retirement from the Orange County Historic Preservation Commission, for the service she performed on their behalf. ADOPTED this the 5th day of May, 1997. William L.
