SFY 1998-99 Rural General Public Operating Assistance
Certified Statement
Pursuant to Article 2B of Chapter 135 of the North Carolina General Statutes which
designates the Department of Transportation as the agency of the State of North Carolina
responsible for administering all federal and/or state programs relating to public
transportation, and grants the department authority to do all things required under
applicable federal and/or state legislation to properly administer the public transportation
programs within the State of North Carolina, this is to certify that the undersigned is the
duly-elected, qualified and acting chairperson of the or CgMt-Y Board of 99-unty Commissioner

located in Crane County(ies),North Carolina, and that the
following statements are true and correct.
I. Funds received will be used to provide rural general public transportation services for
SFY 1995-99(July I, 1995—June 3O, 1999).
2. Funds will be used in a manner consistent with the local General Public Services Plan.
3. Interest dividends earned on these funds will be expended in accordance with program
guidelines.
4. Information regarding use of the funds will be provided at such time and in such a manner as
the department may require.
