At the Board's June 4, 2013 regular meeting, two petitions were brought forth from which were reviewed by the
Chair/Vice Chair /Manager Agenda team and the petitions and responses are below:
1) Review and consider a request by residents that the Board review the siting plans for White Cross
Station #2
Response: BOCC Chair to write letter recommending White Cross Fire Department hold
public information meeting for neighbors, make note of NCDOT driveway permit and road
safety review and approval, and include updated analysis from County Planning
Department. Information on this response to be forwarded to citizens who expressed
concerns.
2) Review and consider request by resident that the Board review the possible "mismanagement" of a Fairview
Garden grant project
Response: Review has been conducted — Staff follow up, previously provided to the Board,
concluded no mismanagement.
3) Review and consider request by Commissioner Price that the Board consider a resolution commending the
Northern Orange Education Task Force, Keith Cook and OCS Superintendent Pat Rhodes
Response: To be scheduled for September 2013 Board meeting
4) Review and consider request by Commissioner Dorosin the agenda review committee check on status of
the update to the Board on the "ban the box" efforts
Response: Status Update to be provided as part of June 18, 2013 agenda package
This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the June 18, 2013 agenda for public information.
