Dr. Foster currently serves as the Director of the Undergraduate Program at the School of Nursing at UNC. Dr. Foster is aware of the needs of residents living in long terra care facilities in Orange county. Her goal is to be an advocate to improve the quality of life and quality of care for these residents. Her background in nursing education will be a major asset to the work of this committee. I also would like to inform you that Teri Driscoll has resigned from this committee effect 5/20/2013. Her daughter has accepted the Executive Director's position at Carillon Assisted Living in Hillsborough therefore she has a conflict of interest. Please let me know if you need any further information to move Dr. Foster's appointment forward. I am hoping that this recommendation will be able to be presented at the June Board of Commissioner's meeting because it is my understanding that they do not meet over the summer months. Thank you.
