A Resolution Referring the
Shaping orange County's Future Provisional Report to
Relevant County Advisory Boards
WHEREAS., in May of this year the Shaping Orange County's Future Task Force transmitted its
Provisional Report to the elected boards of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Orange
County, and
WHEREAS,, on August 28, 2000, the Orange County Board of Commissioners held a public
hearing on the Provisional Report, and
WHEREAS, an Assembly of Governments meeting has been scheduled for January 29, 2001 to
discuss the Task Force report:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
That the Orange County Board of Commissioners refers the Task Force Provisional Report to the
attached list of County advisory boards for their review and comment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
That the listed advisory boards consider, as soon as possible, whether sufficient time exists for
review and comment to be completed prior to January 16, 2001, examine the possibility of
expeditiously addressing this subject with other participating boards or commissions, and advise
the Board of Commissioners.as soon as possible of their reaction as to the appropriateness of
this deadline.
