At the ward's January 24, 2013 regular meeting, two petitions were brought forth by Commissioners,
which were reviewed by the Chair/Vice Chair /Manager Agenda team and the petitions and responses
are below:
Review and consider request by Commissioner Pelissier that the Chair establish a practice of
sending letters to all advisory board members whose service expires, thanking therm for their
service.
Response: Chair will re-establish this practice of sending letters to all advisory
board members, whose service expires, thanking them for their service.
2} Review and consider a request by Commissioner Pelissier that the Board moves forward with
establishing a new and different thorough application for /process for prospective appointees
for four boards with fiduciary responsibilities ( OWASA, Planning Board, Board of Adjustment,
F &R Board, and Chair Jacobs suggested also including ABC Board).
Response. A) The Board will move forward with establishing a new, specific, and
thorough applicat, on process for prospective appointees to four boards: oil ASA,
Planning Board, Board of Adjustment, B FI Board. Chair Jacobs suggested
including ABC Board, as we had previously discussed vetting applicants for boards
with fiduciary responsibilities. Consult County Attorney on ,proposed verbiage for
applications for the aforementioned advisory boards; B) Consider whether to return
matter of interviewing, reviewing, and promoting specific board applicants at a
future work session, to be scheduled.
This letter will be provided as an l rf f orrnatrcn item on the February 5, 2013 agenda for public
information.
