INFORMATION CONTACT:

PURPOSE: To consider making a new appointment to the Nursing Home Community Advisory
Committee.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's Office has received a recommendation from the Nursing Home
Community Advisory Committee for the appointment of Sharon Karnash. If appointed, Ms.
Karnash will be serving a one-year training term, which will end on 6/30/2008.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one new appointment to the Nursing Home Community
Advisory Committee.

I am forwarding a nomination from Mary Ann Peter, the Chair of the Nursing Home Community Advisory
Committee, for Sharon Karnash. Ms. Karnash is applying this week via the website.
She is currently the only person being recommended by the Nursing Home CAC. Other applicants and interested
parties have not yet been able to attend a business meeting to determine if they are truly interested in the committee
and feel as if it would be "a good fit" for them.
I respectfully request that this nomination be shared with the BOCC.
