At the Board's December 11, 2012 regular meeting, three petitions were brought forth by
Commissioners, which were reviewed by the ChairNice Chair /Manager Agenda team and the
petitions and responses are below.
1) Review and consider request by Commissioner Gordon that the Board receive an update in
February 2013 on efforts related to the Addressing and Road - Naming Ordinance, including the
work done so far, implementation plans for 2013, and actions residents need to take including how
to comply with the Ordinance and learn new addresses.
Response: Tax Administrator is making preliminary plans to provide an update at the
February 19th BOCC regular meeting.
2) Review and consider request by Commissioner Price that the Board revisit the issues /goals /etc.
related to the previously sun -set Commission for Women and determine if its goals are still being
met.
Response: Housing, Human Rights and Community Development Director Tara Fikes will
discuss these concerns with Commissioner Price and will include a written follow -up to the
entire Board.
3) Review and consider suggestion by Commissioner Dorosin that staff consider some ways to inform
the public of items on the consent agenda during the meeting
Response: Members of the public attending regular meetings have access to hard copies of
agenda; agenda is posted beside the web stream on the internet; and the Director of Public
Affairs to address this issue as concerns the television audience.
This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the January 24, 2013 agenda for public
information.
