Commissioner Jacobs also asked that the UNC women's soccer team be including in this recognition since the Tar Heels recently won their 21 nd NCAA championship. After review of this petition, the ChairNice Chair/Manager provided the following direction: 1) The Board will recognize those area high school athletic teams that have won a state championship. In this case those honored would be the East Chapel Hill High women's field hockey team and the UNC women's soccer team, which recently won its 22"d national championship, 21St as an NCAA member. These two teams will be recognized at the BOCC meeting on January 24, 2013. The Chair will write letters to the teams that Commissioner McKee brought forth (Carrboro High School and Orange High School football teams) congratulating them on their accomplished seasons. This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the December 11, 2012 agenda for public information.
