PURPOSE: To consider two changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2001.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
j the Regular Meeting Schedule. The beginning time for the meeting scheduled for August 27,
2001 will be changed from 7:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough,
North Carolina. The purpose for the meeting scheduled for August 30 at the Southern Human
Services Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina will be changed from Assembly of Governments
to a work session.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by beginning their regular meeting scheduled for August 27 to 7:00 p.m. and
by changing the purpose of the August 30"' meeting to a Board of County Commissioners work
session.
