BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in the Regular Meeting Schedule. The JPA meeting scheduled for October 1 has been canceled. The County Commissioners will hold a work session on October 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in Hillsborough. A meeting has been scheduled with Durham Technical Community College for October 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Durham Tech is hosting this meeting. FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular meeting calendar by canceling the JPA October 1, 2001 meeting, scheduling a work session for October 1, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in Hillsborough and adding a meeting with Durham Technical Community College for October 11, 2001. The JPA meeting scheduled for October 1 has been canceled. The regular BOCC meeting scheduled for October 2 has been moved to October 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, North Carolina. A meeting has been scheduled with Durham Technical Community College for October 11 at 6:30 p.m. at The Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Durham Tech is hosting this meeting. FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular meeting calendar by canceling the JPA October 1, 2001 meeting, moving the October 2, 2001 regular meeting to October 1, 2001 and adding a meeting with Durham Technical Community College for October 11, 2001.
