Dear Ms. Dixon,
On behalf of the Orange County Board Commissioners, I am writing to you in reference to a petition
that one of our members, Commissioner McKee, brought forth to our Board on August 21st, requesting that the
Board direct staff to schedule additional meeting(s) regarding the Mountain to Sea Trail (MTST) in Orange
County to include the opportunity for a question and answer public session.
After review by our agenda review team, it was suggested that I contact you to ask if you would please
host a MTST public meeting in Orange County with a question and answer session, and to include Orange
County staff in the coordination and participation of said meeting.
We would greatly appreciate any assistance and involvement in this public process as it relates to the
MTST issue and know that your extensive knowledge and expertise in this area would greatly enhance the
meeting.
