Dear Mr. Silva,
On behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, I want to thank you for bringing forth your
petition at the June 5th BOCC meeting, in reference to your concerns and the group, Citizens
United to Protect the Cane Creek Watershed", concerns about the use of OWASA land as
part of the Mountain to Sea Trail's pathway.
Your petition was reviewed by the Chair/Vice Chair/Manager at agenda review this week and
we have directed staff to present an update on the Mountain to Sea Trail at the Board of
Commissioners' regular meeting on August 21, 2012.
This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the June 19, 2012 agenda for
public information.
Regards,
Bernadette Pelissier, Chair
Board of County Commissioners
CC: Frank Clifton, County Manager
Dave Stancil, Director, Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and
