Dear Commissioners,
At the Board's June 5, 2012 work session, Mr. John Silva, who was representing the "Citizens
United to Protect the Cane Creek Watershed," brought forth a petition and it was reviewed by
the Chair/Vice Chair/Manager at agenda review:
1) Review and consider a proposal that the Board would consider instructing staff to
stop working on the Mountains to Sea Trail (MTST) effort involving OWASA land
and consider a discussion in September/October 2012 on the MTST in Orange
County.
After review of this petition, the Chair/Vice/Vice Chair/
Manager have directed staff to do the
following:
1) Staff will provide an update to the Board of Commissioners at their August 21, 2012
Regular meeting on the Mountain to Sea Trail issue.
This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the June 19, 2012 agenda for
public information.
