Effective June 7,2012, I tender my resignation to the Board. I have so enjoyed working with all of you as we have gone about the business of improving the development attractiveness of Orange County to both our citizens and commercial entities. I only wish I could continue to see the work of the Board into next year. My priorities of late have forced me to consider my business and family of primary importance and that choice has increasingly been at the expense of my Board responsibilities. Having served so long on the Board, I believe the Chair's job must be focused and of equal priority, as my predecessors had demonstrated to me and I hope I have demonstrated in the past. I certainly hope you understand my decision and move quickly to replace me as Phase II of the UDO deserves "all hands on deck"for its successful implementation.Thank you for allowing me to serve Orange County in such an important role.
