ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TOM ALLISON
WHEREAS, Tom Allison was appointed as a charter member of the Orange County
Historic Preservation Commission on May 21, 1991; and
WHEREAS, Tom Allison led the Historic Preservation Commission as an active member
for ten years, also serving two terms as Chair of the Commission; and
WHEREAS, Tom Allison faithfully served his fellow citizens of Orange County on this
volunteer commission, which laid the foundation for the County's program of preserving its
historic and archaeological resources; and
WHEREAS, his knowledge and experience in local history and architectural history
consistently guided the Historic Preservation Commission in their efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the Orange County
Board of Commissioners do hereby thank Tom Allison, upon his retirement from the
Orange County Historic Preservation Commission, for the service he performed on their
behalf.
