ORANGE COUNTY BORD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
TO APPROVE AN ORDINANCE FOR A
ZONING ATLAS AMENDMENT
FOR
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
OF
AMERICAN STONE COMPANY AND ORANGE WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY

The Board of County Commissioners hereby approves a petition submitted by American Stone
Company and Orange Water and Sewer Authority to amend the Orange County Zoning Atlas by
rezoning from Rural Buffer to Planned Development Light Industrial (PD-1-1). Special Use
_Permit, Class A property located at the intersection of NC 54 and Bethel Hickory Church Grove
Road (SR 1104) being further identified in the Orange County Land Records Office by Parcel
Identification Numbers, 9759 -54 -4097, 9759 -63 -9813, 9759 -62 -1992 and part of 9759 -44 -2780
and containing 183.8 acres more or less. The property is identified by the following legal
description:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument at the northwest corner of the intersection between N.C.
Highway 54 and State Road 1104 (Bethel Church Road); thence along the right of way of
Highway 54 a curve to the left with a radius of 5752.32 feet an arc distance of 185.32 feet (chord
distance of 185.31 feet, chord bearing of north 84 °46'55" west) to an iron stake; thence north
06 °38'39" west 626.73 feet to an iron stake; thence north 12'38'16" east 1685.75 feet to the
centerline of Phil's Creek; thence north 11 °17'32" west 236.04 feet; thence north 56 °40'21" east
724.89 feet; thence south 38 °59'24" east 145.77 feet to an iron stake; thence south 8711'23" east

according to computer calculations.

was duly adopted this 3rd day of April, 2001.
