ORANGE COUN'£Y
SPFIEREAS G.S. Section 153A-81 authorizes Qrange County to edopt
the county-manager plen for the administration of Orange County government;

4VHEitEAS Orange County has adopted a~d for some time now has
functioned under the county-manager piQn and has appointed from t4me-to-
time a county manager to serve at its pleasure as uuthorized by G.S, Section
153A-81(ll; end
SYETEPEAS the board of commissianers desires to ratify iLs decision
to administer Orange Caunty pursuant to the county-~nanager plen;
IT 1S HEREBY RESOLVED THAT:
I. Ornnge County ratifies and in all other respeets contirms its
election of the county-manager plen for the administrstion of all departments
of eounty government under the generat control of the Board of
Commissioners.
2. The Orange County Artanager is hereby e~npowered to appoint,
without the prior approval of the Board of Cammissioners, and suspend, or
remove all county officers, empioyees, and agents exeept those who are
elected by the people or whase appointment is otheewise provided for hy law.
The manager shnll make appointments, suspensions, and removais in accordante
wIih the Orange Caunty Personnel Policy, The manager shell do alI other
things required of hirn by law and necessnry tor the administration of Orunge
County Governe~nnt. `
3. The foIIowing offices shall 6e fiIled by appointment as provlded
