AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT SERVICES
AGREEMENT
NORTH CAROLINA
THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this the 'Z~--day of February, 2012, by and between the County of
Orange, a body politic and corporate of the State of North Carolina, ("County"), and Patricia Smith ("Consultant");
WIT'NESSETH:
WHEREAS, the County and Consultant entered into a Consulting Services Agreement dated, March 4, 2011, to
provide for professional consulting services to be rendered by Consultant to County with respect to Maintenance
of Property Information Number of the Legacy System. ("Original Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the County and Consultant desire to amend the Original Agreement, while keeping in effect all terms
and conditions of the Original Agreement not inconsistent with the terms and conditions set forth below.
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration for the mutual covenants and agreements made herein, the parties
agree to amend the Original Agreement as follows:
4.1.3 The term of this Agreement shall be from March 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012. The
Parties may agree to extend this Agreement for an additional three months. However, in no
event shall this Agreement extend beyond June 30, 2012; unless there is a writing
modifying this Agreement signed by both Parties as an amendment to this Agreement.
5.1.1 Compensation for basic services shall be paid monthly after receipt of documentation
indicating hours of work. Compensation shall be at the rate of $31.00 per/hour. The
m~imum amount payable under the terms of this Agreement shall be thiriy thousand two
hundred thirty-five dollars ($30,235).
Except for the changes made to Article 4 Duration of Services, Section 4.13 and Article 5, Section 5.1
Compensation herein provided, the Original Agreement shall remain in full force and effect to the extent it is not
inconsistent with this Amendment. In the event that there is a conflict between the Original Agreement and this
Amendment, this Amendment shall control.
