PURPOSE: To approve various intergovernmental agreements.
BACKGROUND: The Board directed that it review all intergovernmental agreements. Provided
below is a list of Agreements and brief synopsis of each that have been reviewed by the County
Attorney's Office and staff is asking the Board to approve.
1. Parties to the Proposal: University of North Carolina School of Government and
Orange County.
Services: The purpose of this contract is to secure services for planning and
facilitating a Communications Planning Retreat for the Orange County Board of
Commissioners on February 10, 2012.
a. Amount: The total cost to the County shall be $2,500.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impact is listed in each section above.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board authorize the County
Manager to sign the above listed agreement and any amendments or renewals of those
Agreements.
