I have a longstanding interest in the public's health, and would like to be directly involved
with the Board charged with protecting and improving it. I would bring a number of skills
to the position. At my day job I provide legal technical assistance to health officers,
boards of health, policy makers and related individuals and am familiar with many of the
issues facing boards of health in general and the situation in North Carolina in particular.
As a volunteer and in previous positions I have worked with a wide variety~of individuals
and groups, including disadvantaged populations, elected officials and appointed policy
