PURPOSE: To extend the adjournment of a public hearing on a Conditional Use (CU) District
application submitted by Habitat for Humanity proposing a 28 single-family residential
development (Tinnin Woods) off of Tinnin and School House Roads in Efland.
BACKGROUND: This item was presented at the May 23, 2011 Quarterly Public Hearing where
the hearing was adjourned to September 20, 2011 to allow for Planning Board review.
The applicant was unable to submit requested documents in time for the August regular
Planning Board meeting and, as a result, the Planning Board completed its review of this
application at its September 7, 2011 meeting.
There was insufficient time to obtain the necessary draft minutes and complete the required
abstract package for the BOCC September 20, 2011 meeting. The public hearing needs to be
extended to October 4, 2011 for this to occur.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact from the rescheduling of this item.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board extend the adjournment of the
public hearing to October 4, 2011 to receive the Planning Board recommendation.
