Tha Board met at the usual. hourin the Cammias inners Room at the
Courthouse with all members present.
The minutes of the January mea ting was read and approved.
E. !d. Lynch, Clork of the Superior Court appeared and pubmitted his
annual report, in accordance with Section 2-46 of the General Statutes of
Ttor th Carolina. Said report filed in }Ainute Docket No. 4, at page 153.
Upon motion, the following road petition was approved and ordered sent
to the State Eighway end Yub11c Yrorks Commission for. the it consideration:
Stretch of coed about twelve hundred feet long
leading from the Yfe aver Road and known as Davie
Road to the Cemetery pour used by the people of
Carrboro and the gaper al public.

IIpon motion of Commis sionor YJl is on, seconded by Commissioner Laws,
the following resolution was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of Orange County is of the
opinion that the State of North Caroline should set up nn equalizing
fund for school bui ldinga from state surplus funds, and urge that the
1947 General Aa sembly enact the necessary act to accomplish the ob,je ct.
The Clork to the Board is hereby ordered to Sorward conies of this'

Upon motion, the Board approved the suspension of Lucille 1„acklin from
aid to blind cases for the months of R!arch, April ¢nd h!¢y, 1947.
