Both have submitted volunteer applications to serve on Orange County advisory boards, and indicated an interest in serving on the Arts Commission. Both reside in Chapel Hill. Jonathan Pletzke has a video production background and is very interested in economic development issues. We believe that the arts can play a vital role in economic development. His experience and interest in this area would be helpful. Linda Schmoldt is a visual artist (painter) who is interested in helping to provide more opportunities for artists to show their work. We would like these two volunteers to replace Jeff Cohen and Carolyn Leith, who were not eligible for reappointment when their terms expired (they had already served the maximum terms allowed}. Thank you for your consideration of this request. (919) 245-2335 ••r www.artsorange.org • artsC~co.orange.nc.us • Fax (919) 644-3008 P.O.
