PURPOSE: To consider the appointment of one member to the Commission for Women.
BACKGROUND: The Commission for Women has 25 seats and 4 vacancies at the present
time. Five seats are for residents of Chapel Hill Township and one of these is vacant.
After reviewing all the applications received, the Commission for Women has recommended
Ms. Elizabeth Grew of 617-B West Main Street, Carrboro, N.C. to fill the Chapel Hill Township
seat.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider appointing Ms. Elizabeth Grew to the Commission for
Women to a Chapel Hill Township seat for a first regular term, which will expire June 30, 2006.
