PURPOSE: To consider two changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for the year 2003.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule. The Board of County Commissioners will consider adding a
Legislative Breakfast Meeting, with Orange County's Legislative Delegation, on Monday, May
19, 2003 starting at 7:30 a.m. at Mama Dip's Restaurant, 408 West Rosemary Street, Chapel
Hill, North Carolina. The Board will consider changing the starting time of the Quarterly Public
Hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, 2003 to 7:00 p.m. and this meeting will be held at the
F. Gordon Battle Courtroom, East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by adding a Legislative Breakfast Meeting, with Orange County's Legislative
Delegation, on Monday, May 19, 2003 starting at 7:30 a.m. at Mama Dip's Restaurant, 408
West Rosemary Street, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and by changing the starting time of the
Quarterly Public Hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, 2003 to 7:00 p.m. and this meeting
will be held at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom, East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, North
Carolina.
