BACKGROUND:. The following appointment is for Board consideration: Appointment for an extension of a second term for Mr. John l". Stewart. If appointed Mr. Stewart will be filling an extended term in the special representation position as an Attorney. The Board requires an attorney and has asked that Mr. Stewart be appointed to this position. This Board is in a transition period and will not be making any new appointments, but would like to retain those citizens _currently serving. Let me see if I can clarify. VVe thought that John Stewart had been reappointed to the Board last fall, so when we noticed that we did not have anything in our records I asked Janine to work with your office to get that figured out - we would very much like for John to remain on the Board during this transition period. Then last night we did discuss two new vacancies on the Board (one from Person; one from Chatham) and the Commissioners agreed that given OPC's situation we would not aggressively attempt to recruit new Board members, but would try to retain those already serving. So, short answer we would like John reappointed, but we would not be pursuing applicants for any other open seat. Hope that this helps, Judy Judy R. However, when I brought this up this am; Comm. Yuhasz stated that at last night's meeting, you had mentioned that since OPC was going to be disbanded in 2012, not to make any further appts to this board. Is that correct because if you see the email traffic below -Janine would still like for us to make this appt. Could you please provide some clarification to me on this issue? Thanks, Donna S.
