BACKGROUND: At its regular meeting on April 24, 2007 the Durham Technical Community Cohege Board of Trustees adopted the attached resolution for joint property ownership between- the DTCC Board of Trustees and the Orange County Board of Commissioners. At this time, the Orange County Board of Commissioners were invited. to appoint up to two members to the DTCC Board of Trustees. Appointments are for four-year terms beginning- July 1, 2007. No more than one trustee can be a BOCC member. Mr. Aaron Nelson was appointed by the BOCC in 2007. His term ends June 30, 2011 and Durham Tech President Bill Ingram has indicated that they would like for Mr. Nelson to be reappointed. Commissioner Foushee is the BOCC appointee to the DTCC Board of Trustees and her term ends in 2013. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION(S): The Board will consider making one second term appointment to the DTCC Board of Trustees.
