HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 19990622APPROVED 211 412 0 0 0 MINUTES ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 22, 1999 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on June 22, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. in the public meeting room at the Government Services Center in Hillsborough, North Carolina. The meeting was held to focus attention on the topic of value engineering and was attended by the three commissioners who had indicated particular interest in the topic. COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Vice-Chair Stephen H. Halkiotis and Commissioners Margaret W. Brown and Barry Jacobs. COUNTY COMMISSINERS ABSENT: Chair Alice M. Gordon and Commissioner Moses Carey, Jr. STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., Assistant County Manager Rod Visser, Purchasing Director Pam Jones, County Engineer Paul Thames and Clerk to the Board Beverly A. Blythe. CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS FOR A VALUE ENGINEERING CONSULTANT Interviews for a value engineering consultant were held. No action was taken at this meeting. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to adjourn the meeting. The next regular meeting will be held on June 30, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. in Judge F.
