BACKGROUND: The following appointments are for Board consideration: Appointment to a first full term for Dr. Susan Elmore. If appointed Dr. Elmore will be serving a first full term expiring June 30, 2014. Dr. Elmore will also serve as the Board of Health liaison to the Animal Services Advisory Board. Appointment to a second term for Mr. Michael Wood. If appointed Mr. Wood will be serving a second term expiring June 30, 2014. Appointment to a first term for Ms. Liska Lackey. Mr. Wood will be filling his second full term and Dr. Elmore will be serving her first full term. Dr. Elmore was appointed July 2010 to fill the remainder of a term vacated by Dr. Dewana Anderson. Christina Harlan is completing her second full term on the Board of Health effective June 30, 2011. Ms. Harlan serves in the nurse representative position and lives in Chapel Hill. The Board is recommending Ms. Liska Lackey for your consideration. She rives in Carrboro and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNC-CH School of Nursing working with the graduate nurse practitioner students. M's.
