The company invested quite heavily in new product releases, but were not able to compete against Asia manufacturing and distribution. The facility was forced to close in 2002. I was assigned to the product development laboratory where we developed an industry first mail document inserting system capable of the fastest change-over times in industry history. I invented a final envelope registration process which eliminated faulty envelope insertions at high speeds. I worked here until 2008 when a chronic illness rendered me incapable of performing the physical requirements of the position. The illness is now managed, but I am unable to do highly physical labor.
