PURPOSE: To consider appointments to the Board of Equalization and Review.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 105-322, a Special Board of Equalization and Review
' was created by a Resolution adopted by the Orange County Board of Commissioners on
February 1, 2011. The Clerk's office has advertised and recruitment has also been done by the
Tax Administrator's office.
The Orange County Special Board of Equalization and Review shall consist of three regular
members plus alternate members, each to serve for a term in accordance with G.S. 105-322.
One regular member shall serve as chair of the Board of Equalization and Review.
The Board will consider appointing 3 regular members, with one serving as chair. All others
may be appointed as alternate members.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Each member will be paid $75.00 for each meeting they attend, and
the chair will be paid $100.00 for each meeting attended. The funds are included in the Tax
Administrator's budget.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making appointments to the Board of Equalization and
Review.

Hanover counties. My real estate practice has exposed me to a variety of practice and
