Commissioner Mike Nelson
F WHEREAS, the voters of `Orange County elected Mike Nelson to the Board. of County
~,. Commissioners in 2006; and,
~1~I~ERF.AS, 'Mike Nelson has served the residents of Orange County as a dedicated
r public servant. for many years, and. served with distinction as their County
Commissioner for the. past four years, including election by his. peers as
7 Vice-Chair of the Board of County Commissioners in `2009; and,
-~ WHfEREAS, Commissioner Nelson has given freely and unselfishly of his time and
,, .
energy and through `his foresight and leadership, helped promote
progressive :changes and improvements in the operations and services of
Orange County government; and,

WHEREAS, -during his tenure as an Orange Caunty Commissioner, Mike Nelson has

shared his talent for- leadership and public service through his work on ,
~x`°° numerous committees, boards, and task forces including the Animal
"<:-. Services Advisory. Board, Commission for Women, Arts Commission, and
~. ~ the Library Services Task Force, :among others;:
~:~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County. Board of Commissioners
=.: ~ offidally commends Mike Nelson for his years of distinguished service,
~ looks :forward to his continued contributions to the. community, and wishes
~ him the very best in his future endeavors.
~~~ BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be presented to Mr. Nelson, and that the
"~ ~ Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting, the siaah day of
