PURPOSE: To approve the dedication of right of way along Eubanks Road to complete
Orange County's requirements pursuant to a Site Plan approved by the Town of Carrboro for
the construction of Morris Grove Elementary School.
BACKGROUND: In 2008 Orange County applied for a Conditional Use Permit ("CUP") from
the Town of Carrboro to construct an elementary school along Eubanks Road. The CUP was
granted and a Site Plan was approved showing the dedication of a small portion of land to the
North Carolina Department of Transportation for right of way.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the right of way
dedication and authorize the Manager to sign the plat dedicating land to the North Carolina
Department of Transportation for right of way in compliance with the approved Site Plan.
