PART II: VOTING SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT
In addition, once it has encumbered or spent the HAVA grant money designated above,
the County is eligible for an additional $30,000 in HAVA funds to use for voting
equipment or for voting services including coding services for the 2006 primary. As a
condition of receiving this additional money you must:
(1) Encumber the additional funds by April 1, 2006 and
(2) Agree to abide by the seven conditions listed in Part I.
By accepting this grant, you agree to accept all mandatory conditions of this grant and
further agree to obtain receipts for and document all expenditures. You must keep these
receipts and expenditure documents in your records until such time as you are notified by
SBE that you may dispose of the records. Your records may or may not be subject to
audit.
Acceptance of the grant funds and the signature below of the Chairs of the County Board
of Commissioners and the County Board of Elections is an agreement to spend such
funds in accordance with this document, to abide by the audit requirements of HAVA, the
federal government and the State of North Carolina, and to spend grant money only as
permitted by law.
