BACKGROUND: The citizens that live along Gemena Road and Habitat Circle have petitioned NC DOT to accept the maintenance responsibilities for Gemena Road and Habitat Circle. NC DOT has investigated this request (see attached Secondary Road Addition Report) and has submitted a petition for the addition of Gemena Road and Habitat Circle in the Chestnut Oaks Subdivision to the Boazd of Commissioners for review and approval. The Boazd's decision will be forwazded to the N.C. Boazd of Transportation for their deliberation on acceptance of the road to the State-maintained Secondary Road System.
