PURPOSE: To consider a Resolution of Appreciation for Geraldine H. Weathers for her 34 years
of distinguished service as an Orange County employee.
BACKGROUND: Geraldine H. Weathers will retire January 30,1998 after beginning her career
with Orange County on January 1, 1964. The attached resolution will recognize her 34 years of
faithful and dedicated service on behalf of the citizens of Orange County.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the Resolution of
Appreciation for Ms. Geraldine H. Weathers.
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
FOR
GERALDINE H. WEATHERS
WHEREAS, Geraldine H. Weathers has been a loyal and faithful
employee of Orange County for the past 34 years; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine H. Weathers has been diligent in her tasks and
responsibilities asLead Supervisor and Assistant Register
of Deeds; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine H. Weathers has continuously demonstrated a
selfless work ethic by assisting, training and supporting
others; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine H. Weathers has been exemplary in her
knowledge and implementation of quality control measures
for all areas of the Register of Deeds Office; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine H. Weathers has demonstrated expertise and
commitment in promoting the Optical Imaging Process for
the recording of permanent documents; and
WHEREAS, through her efforts and proficiency with the Optical Imaging
Process, Geraldine H. Weathers has helped to place Orange
County on the forefront of technology; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine H. Weathers is to be duly recognized and
commended for her efficiency, integrity, and dedication to
the citizens of Orange County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of
Commissioners, does hereby express its gratitude and appreciation to
GERALDIIYE H. WEATHERS for her many years of dedicated service to Orange
County.
