LANDFILL RESERVE FUND FOR EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT
This fund was established to fund replacement of major equipment without the incurrance
of debt. The funds required are based upon an equipment replacement schedule which
indentifies needs through the fiscal year 2004-05. Items considered for funding from this
reserve costs $20,000 or above. Examples of some of the equipment items are as follows:
1997-98 appropriation includes -
Catapillar $350,000
Wheel Loader 93,844
frontloading refuse truck 142,329
Future items include Dozers, backhoes, various types of trucks, compactors etc.

LANDFILL RESERVE FUND FOR EUBANKS CONSTRUCTION
This fund was established to accumulate funds for payment of the costs of developing
additional cells at the current landfill site. This eliminates the incurrence of dept for these
major undertakings. Items included on the chart:
94-95 - $3,038,500 represents payments for the first 2 cells
97-98 - $1,550,000 current cell development (bids to be received Dec)
00-O1 - $1,610,000 last cell development
03-04 - $ 680,000 Closure Costs

LANDFILL RESERVE FOR ACQUISITIONS AND CONSTRUCTION
The fund is established to accumulate funds to assist with the acquisition of land and
construction related to future landfill sites. The activity (outlays) in this fund were for the
following purposes. -
95-96 - Purchase of Neville and Johnson tracts. $202,450
97-98 - Purchase of Wilson property and engineering services related to site
search. $214,300.
Significant increases in contributions to this fund begin in the year 2001-02. This is due to
an equal amount of reduced contributions in the Eubanks Construction Reserve
