PURPOSE: To discuss highlights of the two school systems' requested CIPs for the 1998-2008
planning period.
BACKGROUND: The County Manager will present his recommended 1998-2008 CIP to the
County Commissioners later this month. The largest portion of funding is devoted to the capital
needs of the two school systems. The two school boards may wish to provide brief reports on the
highlights of their CIP requests, which will be reviewed and discussed by the Board of
Commissioners as part of the County CIP during the next two months.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the reports as
information.
