Dyer Letters of 2/16/98 Extension 2595 - Secondary Road Addition Reports - NC DOT Site Vicinity Maps TELEPHONE NUMBERS: Hillsborough - 732 -8181 Durham - 688 -7331 Mebane - 227 -2031 Chapel Hill -967-9251 PURPOSE: To consider a petition from NC DOT for approval of the addition of Remington Run in the Brittany Creek Subdivision, Bingham Township & Dawn Drive in the Wilson Place Subdivision, Cedar Grove Township to the State - maintained Secondary Road System. BACKGROUND: The citizens that live along Remington Run and Dawn Drive have petitioned NC DOT to accept the maintenance responsibilities for Remington Run and Dawn Drive. NC DOT has investigated this request (see attached Secondary Road Addition Reports) and have submitted petitions for the addition Remington Run and Dawn Drive to the Board of Commissioners for their review and approval. The Board's decision will be forwarded to the N.C. Board of Transportation for their deliberation on acceptance of the road to the State - maintained Secondary Road System. RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the additions of Remington Run and Dawn Drive to the State - maintained Secondary Road System. r a..SWr° .
