Dyer Letters of 4/14/98 & 4/15/98 - Secondary Road Addition Reports - NC DOT Site Vicinity Maps INFORMATION CONTACT: Slade McCalip Extension 2595 TELEPHONE NUMBERS: Hillsborough - 732-8181 Durham - 688-7331 Mebane - 227-2031 Chapel Hill - 967-9251 PURPOSE: To consider a petition from NC DOT for approval of the addition of Poplar Drive in the Wagon Farm Trail Subdivision, Cheeks Township & Crescent Drive in the Crescent Ridge Subdivision, Chapel Hill Township to the State-maintained Secondary Road System. BACKGROUND: The citizens that live along Poplar Drive and Crescent Drive have petitioned NC DOT to accept the maintenance responsibilities for Poplar Drive and Crescent Drive. NC DOT has investigated this request (see attached Secondary Road Addition Reports) and have submitted petitions for the addition Poplar Drive and Crescent Drive to the Board of Commissioners for their review and approval. The Board's decision will be forwarded to the N.C. Board of Transportation for their deliberation on acceptance of the road to the State-maintained Secondary Road System. RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the additions of Poplar Drive and Crescent Drive to the State-maintained Secondary Road System. 2. ~~ .swr. a-~'' .~W,~.
